Anime is one of the most amazing as well as the most underrated genres of entertainment. Most of the people who are not familiar with anime, consider it to be a strange taboo, an unusual guilty-pleasure and very often, a very childlike source of entertainment. Anime is often confused with cartoons and thus, not taken as seriously as it should be. 1. Anime is usually based on an illustrated, hand-drawn, comic-like series known as 'Manga'. Manga range from all sorts of genres. From ninjas to superheroes, dinosaurs to robots. Manga illustrators are known as 'Mangaka’ in Japanese.
